Our story
MedBridge Scholars was founded in San Diego with a simple but powerful belief. Financial hardship should never be the reason a qualified, motivated student is unable to pursue a career in medicine.
We saw the problem firsthand. Talented pre-medical and pre-physician assistant students were unable to access clinical training opportunities, not for lack of ability or commitment, but simply because they could not afford it. At the same time, advanced fellowship training placed a significant cost on nurse practitioners and physician assistants working to elevate their clinical expertise.
We were created to bridge that gap. Connecting donors who believe in the future of healthcare with students who are ready to become its next generation of providers.

Our mission
To remove financial barriers in medical education by funding clinical rotation scholarships, internships, and fellowship programs for students and healthcare professionals who demonstrate both the need and the commitment to build a career in medicine.

A healthcare system shaped by providers who were given the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of their financial background.
Who we serve
Pre-medical students. Seeking clinical rotation experience to strengthen their medical school applications and deepen their understanding of patient care.
Nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Pursuing fellowship training to advance their clinical skills and specialize in their field.
Pre-physician assistant students. Who need hands-on clinical exposure to qualify for and succeed in PA programs.
Students with demonstrated need. Every applicant shows both financial need and a real commitment to building a career in medicine.
How we work
We partner, we do not just write checks. MedBridge Scholars works with vetted medical practices and educational programs to ensure every scholarship and fellowship we fund is backed by a structured, high-quality clinical experience under the supervision of experienced physicians and providers.
Funds go where they are meant to go. All funds raised go directly toward scholarships and fellowship support. Administrative costs are kept minimal so donor contributions have maximum impact.
